Description

The Mercury aims at being the most versatile and evolutive possible. Its camber + double rocker profile, directional twin shape and well-balanced flex allow to venture everywhere and offer the ultimate balance between performance and playfulness.

What is the program of the Capita Mercury snowboard?

With the Capita Mercury you will be able to enjoy the entire resort in any condition. It offers a smooth glide on all types of snow. Its classic camber provides a secure edge hold on hard snow, the nose and tail rockers provide smoothness in edge-to-edge transitions, filter the unevenness of the terrain and have the ability to keep the tips up in choppy snow. The slightly setback inserts allow to initiate turns easier while providing natural floatability in the pow. The symmetrical shape allows to ride switch easily, offering more options in freestyle. Finally, the flex remains accessible, enabling to be comfortable on rails and boxes in the park, and provides handling responsiveness and stability at the same time. This board is a jack of all trade, what about you?

Who is the Capita Mercury snowboard for?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
