Description

Capita offers quality snowboards, built in a European factory with an eco-friendly process. The Scott Stevens Mini benefits from an FSC certified wood shell and a 60% vegetable-based glue. It is robust and versatile but technically very affordable.

What is the Capita Scott Stevens Mini snowboard programme?

The Capita Scott Stevens Mini has a fibreglass reinforced poplar shell, offering a flexible flex that allows you to easily ride without fatigue. Younger riders will be able to make their turns without having to strain the supports. The camber profile, with both flat and inverted camber, provides a secure grip on the track, simplifying cut turns and reducing the risk of edge faults. This profile also works well off-piste and in the snowpark, allowing you to try out all styles and terrains, even freestyle!

Who is the Capita Scott Stevens Mini snowboard for?

Designed for children, this snowboard can be used for beginners as well as for advanced riders. It is therefore suitable for a wide range of kids looking to learn the technical basics, have fun on their board and progress in freestyle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
