Description

The Capita Ultrafear is a fairly simple twin-tip with a medium flex and a camber + rocker profile. It is accessible and easy to ride, both in your natural direction and in switch. It offers pop and responsiveness, but also a lot of cushioning thanks to its Carbon Kevlar armour and Full Cork Edge Dampening System.

What is the program of the Capita Ultrafear snowboard?

The Ultrafear is the 100% freestyle twin-tip that you can use to have fun and progress with your tricks. It offers a maximum of options in freestyle, between its tonic pop, its spatulas which keep the flex and its symmetrical shape to pass in switch without problem. The camber + rocker profile provides a secure grip on the piste while being slightly more permissive and versatile than a classic pure camber. The camber + rocker profile provides a secure grip on the piste and is slightly more permissive and versatile than a pure camber. Finally, the carbon, kevlar and cork reinforcements provide more cushioning and rebound, which helps to increase pop during ollies and comfort on snow and terrain that tends to make the board vibrate.

Who is the Capita Ultrafear snowboard for?

We recommend this model from the intermediate level onwards to snowboarders who mainly want to do freestyle, whether in the snowpark or on the slopes.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
