Here's the Frontier, a snowboard signed by Jones, designed for riders seeking a versatile board with a bias towards freeriding. With the Classic Core, Biax fiberglass and Bio Resin technologies, the Frontier offers solid performance on a range of terrains. Its hybrid camber and directional shape make it an example of versatility, whether it is on 80 cm of pow or a steep icy slope. 

What is the programme of the Jones Frontier snowboard? 

The Jones Frontier won’t let you down when it comes to versatility. The hybrid camber, paired to the directional shape, guarantees excellent responsiveness and lots of control in the backcountry, with great floatability on powder. The Frontier works also on groomers or for some freestyle, thanks to the very good grip and rather playful flex, allowing to take detour through the terrain park.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
