If the Jones Snowboards brand is known for offering freeride boards, quite rigid and directional, the Mountain Twin stands out from the rest of the catalogue. It's a model very appreciated for its playability and dynamism on all terrains. As always at Jones, we find a very qualitative construction, with eco-friendly materials.

What is the program of the Jones Mountain Twin snowboard?

The Mountain Twin bridges the gap between the two worlds of freestyle and freeride. It is a directional twin, which means that its shape and flex are symmetrical, but the position of the feet is slightly setback. The interest is to maintain the balance and switch ease needed for freestyle tricks, while enjoying a smoother ride and better flotation. It allows you to ride on all types of snow and its well-balanced flex provides bounce in curves and ollie pop, while remaining playful on the spatulas and pleasant to ride. The Mountain Twin is a true Swiss Army knife for versatile snowboarders!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
