The Nidecker Odyssey has a very directional shape, which is as pleasing to the eye as it is effective on descents. It also benefits from a high-quality construction with a Master Core made of different densities of wood, a Premium sandwich with carbon and Kevlar, as well as a Sinterd N-7000 outsole that offers a very good glide.  

What is the program of the snowboard Nidecker Odyssey?  

With the Odyssey, it's all about curve, curve and more curve. The well-set back position of the feet allows it to turn very easily, while the generous front spatula rocker provides great fluidity from one curve to the next. While the classic camber section provides a good grip on hard snow making it able to link cut turns and able to work on carving, the rocker absorbs the irregularities of the terrain while offering an automatic lift in the powder. Finally, the flex, well balanced between accessibility and performance, invites you to have fun and gain speed, while remaining pleasant to ride. Enjoy the freshly groomed slopes, discover freeride, skid in the powder, the Odysey is the real deal notwithstanding the snow conditions!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
