Description

The Capita Birds of a Feather is a twin-tip snowboard, designed to be able to ride both ways with the same behaviour, which is perfect to have maximum possibilities in freestyle. Its flex is perfectly balanced between power and accessibility to provide responsiveness and stability in the descents, while remaining an easy board, playful for freestyle. The classic camber + double rocker profile provides grip on hard pack, pop for ollies, while having a smooth glide on transformed snow and shallow powder. Its construction is lightweight and robust. We also point out that Capita has a very comprehensive sustainable approach. An ultra-versatile snowboard with which intermediate/advanced female snowboarders can progress in freestyle and enjoy every run in resorts.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
