Another superb board by Capita. D.O.A. is a graphic theme revisited each winter with a different print for each board size, a sturdy and light construction using the best materials, and manufactured following an eco-friendly process in the Capita factory in Austria. 

What is the programme of the snowboard Capita Defenders Of Awesome?  

The D.O.A. has a wood shell with a good weight/power ratio, inserted in a fibreglass sandwich reinforced with carbon fibre stringers. This construction gives you everything needed: power, light weight, stability and control, without creating a board that is too rigid. The D.O.A. does indeed have a medium flex, which makes it rather easy to ride and play for your freestyle sessions. In anticipation of your attempts to boardlide on the rails and boxes in the snowpark, the sides of the board have been reinforced with kevlar. Finally, the combination of a classic camber with light rockers with spatulas is ideal for grip on the slopes, while still maintaining enough lift for fun in powder and enjoying the relief of the edges of the slopes.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
