The Capita Defenders Of Awesome is a perfectly symmetrical twin-tip snowboard, with a well-balanced flex offering good performance while remaining accessible. Its Superlight core is lightweight and offers pop and good impact resistance, the carbon beams improve pop further and the Kevlar reinforcements enhance durability and dampening.  

What is the program of the Capita Defenders Of Awesome snowboard?

The Capita D.O.A. features a twin-tip shape allowing to ride both ways without changing the board’s behaviour. Ideal for maximum freestyle possibilities. The all-mountain profile with camber and double rocker provides grip on groomers and good glide on choppy snow on the sides. The well-balanced flex enables to have responsiveness and stability in the descents, while keeping the board easy to handle and pretty playful/permissive to try new freestyle tricks and feel comfortable on the features of the park. This makes it a very versatile bord to progress in freestyle and have fun on all the runs of the resort in any condition.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
