Description

High-end snowboard from Capita, the Kazu Kokubo Pro (name of the Japanese rider) has a directional shape, designed for powder with its pointy tips, but offering nice performances in any type of snow. Directional, it is slightly thinner at the tail and benefits from a slightly setback stance, the goal being to offer more precision in turns and improve the ability to lift in powder. For even more ease in powder, you find a substantial rocker at the front tip, going into a classic camber to guarantee efficient grip on hardpack. From the get go, you know you can ride as much on groomed runs as off-piste, no matter the snow conditions. The Panda Hover Core with bamboo, reinforced by carbon and linen offers lightness, power, stability and dampening. A very good feeling under the feet indeed, even more so as the board remains enjoyable to handle. A model meant for advanced snowboarders and beyond, looking for an all-round board to trace beautiful lines on any terrain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
