Description

The Capita Mega Death is an improved version of the Black Snowboard Of Death. A snowboard with a directional shape and flex profile, guaranteeing great flexibility and efficiency on every terrain, no matter the snow conditions. This board also benefits from advanced technologies, providing superior lightness, power, responsiveness and dampening.

What is the Capita Mega Death snowboard made for?

The Mega Death is an all-mountain freeride board that excels in all snow conditions. Its directional shape and Alpine V1 Profile provide exceptional precision and handling, making turns easy and effortless. The board's traditional camber ensures optimal grip on hard snow, while the rockers on the nose and tail allow for effortless lift on powder. The Mega Death also features a Themopolymer Hover Core, a hybrid of wood and carbon, for a lighter, stronger structure with excellent shock absorption properties. Additional carbon and flax fibres have been strategically added to increase power and vibration absorption. Finally, the flex is controlled by a double layer of triaxial fiberglass, providing a powerful and stable ride at high speeds, while remaining comfortable due to its reasonable stiffness. This board is a true all-rounder, ready to take on the mountain all day long.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
