Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Mega Merc is a Mercury on steroids, therefore you find a directional twin shape with slightly setback inserts as well as a camber + double rocker profile. A very versatile board ensuring a good dose of responsiveness.

What is the program of the Capita Mega Merc snowboard?

This board offers nice performances in the entire resort and in any condition. The classic camber and full sidewalls ensure good edging on hardpack. The front and back rockers paired to the setback stance provide lift in powder and facilitate turn initiations. The stiffer flex compared to the Mercury improves responsiveness and high-speed stability, allowing to shred more in the descents and carve beautiful turns. The Mega Merc allows to have fun in freestyle with the very good pop provided by its hybrid Starship Core, combining poplar and PET. A very versatile board that rocks everywhere in the resort.

Who is the Capita Mega Merc snowboard for?

The Mega Merc is meant for advanced/expert level snowboarders looking for a versatile board allowing them to shred hard on any terrain with a high-end construction.

What are the main characteristics of the Capita Mega Merc snowboard?

Great versatility

Performance/playfulness balance

Manoeuvrability

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
