Description

Like all Capita snowboards, the Supernova was manufactured in the brand's Austrian factory, which runs on renewable electricity and uses FSC-certified wood and 60% bio-based glue. Beyond the eco-design, this is an extremely high-quality board, with finely selected materials, resulting in a light, high performance and pleasant to ride board.

What is the programme of the Capita Supernova snowboard?

The Supernova follows you without hesitation whatever your desires are in the resort. If you want to ride on the piste with rhythm and to link the beautiful carved turns, you will enjoy excellent grip thanks to the classic camber, while the front rocker and the slightly set back position of the feet make it easier to enter turns. They also make it easier to glide in powder, which will allow you to enjoy the beautiful days of snow off-piste. The Supernova is easy to steer, rebounds well into curves and offers high speed control. It remains quite comfortable in the supports and its twin directional shape allows you to maintain your balance for switch and freestyle.

Who is the Capita Supernova snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to experienced/expert snowboarders, who like to put a lot of rhythm into the descents on all terrains. And if you like speed and curves, but also freestyle, you will appreciate that this board remains playful and allows you to place tricks without problems.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
