Description

The Capita The Navigator was manufactured in Austria's The Mothership factory, a zero-carbon building that runs on renewable energy, uses FSC-certified wood and 60% glue made from plant materials. Beyond the eco-friendly aspect, there is a real search for performance with a light and powerful poplar/beech shell, carbon fibre reinforcements, a double layer of fibreglass, as well as a robust outsole that offers an excellent gliding quality.  

What is the programme of the Capita The Navigator snowboard?  

With The Navigator, you will be able to navigate between pines while enjoying the latest fresh snowfalls. Its directional shape, with a slightly tapered rear shape and a well-marked rocker in the front spatula, provides an excellent flotation in powder. The slightly setback position of the inserts and the slightly stiffer flex at the rear provides an excellent trajectory control. Finally, the classic camber helps to maintain grip when riding on hard snow. This way, you have everything needed to enjoy the beautiful curves in powder when the conditions are right, but you are not caught off guard while returning to the slopes!

This model is designed for snowboarders addicted to fresh snow! Technically, it can be mastered without difficulty with an intermediate/confirmed level, but on the other hand its programme requires experience in the mountains and the use of safety equipment.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
