Description

The Drifter is back on the slopes for 2018. This freestyle / all-mountain gem excels at popping tricks and laying beautiful turns on groomers. If that is your dope, then the Drifter will make you happy.

What can the Flow DRIFTER snowboard do?

The Drifter is a twin board that is pretty similar to the Whiteout but it comes with a different profile, more forgiving and more playful. You have a section of reverse camber between the feet for easier pivot and added manoeuverability on deep snow and two sections of camber under the bindings. They ensure grip and precision on hard snow and deliver more pop on kickers. The flat tips make the ride catchfree and the board more playful. All in all, the Drifter is a smooth yet responsive ride that can deal with any conditions on the mountain with ease. It is a versatile board ideally suited for those who want to make the entire mountain their new playground.

Who is the Flow DRIFTER snowboard designed for?

It is a board for intermediate and advanced riders who want something that excels at freestyling without compromising performance on other terrains. The board is playful and forgiving, an excellent choice for easy progression.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
