Description

The Nidecker Alpha is a snowboard able to evolve in all-mountain and backcountry freestyle but which maintains a very surf and freeride spirit. Indeed, we have here a board able to rain tricks on a kicker on the edges of the slopes, as well as to link beautiful turns between the pines. Its Nidactive Sandwich construction is very qualitative and the mix of materials including wood, fiberglass and carbon allows you to obtain a very dynamic board, with rebound and stability, but also cushioning and comfort. Directional and equipped with rockers to have a good flotation in the powder and a good behaviour on all the grounds, it is also equipped with a classic camber which provides an effective grip on piste.

What are the main qualities of the Nidecker Alpha snowboard?

Versatility

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
