Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

Its highly directional shape leaves no room for doubt as to its use. The Nidecker Area snowboard is designed to draw beautiful lines both on and off the slopes! Its well-balanced performance level makes it a very progressive model.

What is the program of the snowboard Nidecker Area?

A bit long and wide in the front and rear spatula, the Area is also equipped with a 25 mm setback foot position. The intention is to provide maximum control on the rear foot allowing the board to be placed more easily in the turns. By shifting the weight to the rear, you also get a natural lift, which allows you to enjoy fresh snow during off-piste practice. The classic camber is well defined and provides excellent grip in cut turns on hard snow, while the qualities of the Master Core wood shell and Premium Sandwich construction provide responsiveness and stability without being particularly physically demanding.

Who is the Nidecker Area snowboard designed for?

This model is designed for snowboarders preferring to ride curves rather than freestyle, whether on piste or off-piste. Performing without being too physically demanding, it is ideal for an intermediate to confirmed snowboarder looking to improve in carving and/or freeride.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
