The Nidecker Mellow is an all-mountain freeride snowboard designed for beautiful turn enthusiasts looking to trace their lines on every terrain with a model that offers quick edge transfers. 

What is the programme of the Nidecker Mellow snowboard? 

The Nidecker Mellow is made to surf on snow, its camber + rocker profile and directional shape are developed to provide pleasant and dynamic handling with quick and intuitive edge transitions, as well as very good grip. The setback foot stance makes the riding natural and promotes speed and fluidity. The swallow tail enhances the board’s good handling on every snow condition, especially powder, by making the tail lighter. The sandwich construction with ash wood and triaxial fibre core, offers a natural flex and dampens vibrations, for excellent high-speed stability. A board to trace beautiful lines on every terrain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
