Description

Nidecker's Thruster is a directional snowboard with a powerful and lightweight construction. Its Light Core wood core is embedded in two layers of triaxial fiberglass and reinforced with carbon inserts, for a package that offers lots of stability and responsiveness. To take full advantage of this, the Nidecker Thruster features a classic camber that allows you to get lots of bounce out of carved turns, while offering optimal grip. On the shape side, the tapered shape and set back foot position offers a natural flotation in powder and a more playful entry into the curve on all terrains. Finally, the Sidekick technology, which raises the edges of the board at the nose and tail, takes the efficiency in powder snow up a notch. Performing on all types of snow, easy to handle and very stable, this board will please powerful and technical snowboarders looking for sensations and speed.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
