Description

The Lotus is the women-version of the Pulse, a forgiving versatile board that’s going to get the all-mountain crowd on its feet. Learn the basics, perfect your technique and carve deep trenches like a pro!

What can the Salomon LOTUS snowboard do?

Strap in and ride with confidence on this easy and forgiving board! The Lotus is a pleasant and playful allrounder with a freeride-oriented personality. It is manoeuverable, stable and very easy to steer through the mountain. The soft flex combined with the Flat Out profile (cambered midsection and rockered nose and tail) makes linking turns a breeze and surfing pow a blast. The board pivots naturally and the Bite Free edges offer a nice buttery feel making edge-catches less likely to happen. This means you can take the board for a park session and send your first spins or press your first box with no fear. The Lotus is all about having fun, so make yourself comfortable and enjoy.

Who is the Salomon LOTUS snowboard designed for?

The Lotus was designed with women beginners and intermediates in mind. It is the perfect board for learning painlessly and skip straight to the fun part. Forgiving and versatile, you’ll be able to ride the entire mountain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
