The Basic from Yes is a very fun and versatile freestyle-oriented snowboard, allowing to shred hard in the entire resort while enjoying a good balance between performance and accessibility.  

What is the program of the Yes Basic snowboard?

The Basic can take you anywhere with lots of playfulness and dynamism on any type of snow. It features a wood core, reinforced by bi-axial glass fibre, which gives it very good pop and responsiveness, without being too demanding. The tips and rockers allow to ride with ease on the sides of runs and to look for shallow powder, while the classic camber area has UnderBite edges for efficient grip on hard pack. With such versatility, this freestyle-oriented board lets you decide where you want to throw the craziest tricks, with enough responsiveness for fast-paced descents.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
