The Jones Hovercraft Split is aptly named, this directional snowboard features a wider than average width and substantial rocker at the nose to float on fresh snow. This board offers lots of manoeuvrability it is easy to put into turns and allows you to trace beautiful lines in powder. On hardpack it is stable and ensures good rebound between turns with classic camber between the feet and a flex providing precise and responsive handling. When it comes to skinning, the Hovercraft Split enables you to reach summits with lightness, grip and stability. The Karakoram assembly clips guarantee good torsional stiffness for maximum fun on the way down. This board benefits from a sustainable manufacturing process, using recycled and bio sourced materials and a laser etching that does not use ink.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
