Description

The Armada Kufo 108 is more of a UFO than a ski. Incredibly light and yet incredibly wide, it was designed for skiers who like to earn their descent by a good climb. The ski features an ultra-light woodcore and comes with a 106mm waist which makes it incredibly floaty and playful on powder. Suited for short tours, it boasts the new I-Clip Tail system to ease the skinning process. Carbon and kevlar reinforcements boost the ski reactivity and character.

What can the Armada Kufo 108 touring ski do?

Despite its generous 106mm waist, the Kufo 108 turns out to be pretty light and agile when skinning up. Of course, if you stand on its edge for too long you'll feel your ankles work a lot but still, you should manage to reach the summit without wearing yourself out and that's all we ask. This is the kind of touring skis that performs best on the downhill. Use it for short approaches and incredible freeride lines. Indeed, the ski floats naturally and manoeuvers through the deep with ease. It works like a real powder ski despite a light construction that could have compromised its performance. Good job from Armada's engineers.

Who is the Armada Kufo 108 touring ski designed for?

We recommend this ski to every powder hunter looking for a light tool that can cope with short tours and long downhill runs. The ski is light but it is not super easy to manage with a long 26m turning radius. Suited for advanced skiers or experts.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
