After several years of trial and error, during which Rudi Finžgar crafted his own skis in the family woodworking workshop, the Elan brand was officially established in September 1945 in Slovenia. It quickly grew thanks to ingenious innovations that became industry standards in skiing. Within a few years, Elan became a staple, equipping numerous competitors, including multiple Olympic and World Champion Ingemar Stenmark, widely regarded as one of the greatest skiers in history. Decades have passed, yet Elan's success remains undiminished. The brand has received numerous awards, a testament to the quality of its skis, such as the Ripstick and Wingman models. To this day, Elan continues to innovate, staying at the forefront of the industry and also developing touring skis that are making waves in the skiing world.
