The Rossignol X-10 Skate is one of the best performing cross country ski boots on the market. It presents serious technical arguments and a very beautiful design.  

What are the characteristics of the Rossignol X-10 Skate cross-country ski boot?   

In this category of boots close to the race range, the goal is to provide stability as close as possible to high-end models. This model is designed for skiers who already have some technical bases and therefore know how to cause a lateral imbalance while pushing. This is why Rossignol has supported the construction of the cuff of the X-10, if we compare it to the X-8 we can immediately see that the cuff is more imposing, thicker and therefore more rigid. This results in a better stabilization of the ankle when the ski is put on, in order to maintain maximum balance. The frame also plays a major role in this process, but it also fulfils the task of maintaining the heel to make the conduct of the ski easier and more precise. From a comfort perspective, the X-10 maintains a relatively wide forefoot to accommodate as many skiers as possible and not create any stress or pain. The boot is however very well designed with a practical, fast and serious tightening system, the Speedlace Lock. It facilitates the adjustment of the liner and wraps the foot evenly. As for the efficiency in thrust, Rossignol has equipped the X-10 with a more rigid sole that undergoes less deformation in lateral thrust and returns perfectly the energy deployed on the ski. This sole is compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic binding standards.  

Who is the Rossignol X-10 Skate cross-country ski boot for?   

That's a matter of opinion, as it is very forgiving. If we have to choose a particular type of skier, we would say that it is suitable for an athletic skier who already has a little experience of skating, who knows how to skate correctly, and is looking for a boot that provides good technical performance without sacrificing comfort.
