Description

The Kazu Kokubo Pro continues its momentum: a high-performance board with a great exit in powder snow, with a very qualitative construction and an iconic graphic design with an ancestral Japanese theme. Like all Capita snowboards, it was hand-made in a factory in Austria using renewable energy, FSC wood and vegetable-based glue.

What is the programme of the Capita Kazu Kokubo Pro snowboard?

The Capita Kazu Kokubo is a directional board, slightly tapered at the back, with a foot position subtly set back by half an inch and a teardrop shaped nose and tail. The idea is to provide natural flotation, as Kazu Kokubo rides the legendary Japanese powder snow on a daily basis. The Panda Core incorporates bamboo for maximum bounce and the Amplitex V-Tech Amplifier reinforcements provide the responsiveness of carbon and the cushioning of linen. The result is a dynamic board with lots of ollie pop and stability at high speed, as well as the best cushioning for vibrations. And with a shape that remains balanced in switch and a well-dosed flex that maintains playability in the spatulas, it's a real treat when placing big butters in the powder or allowing for a couple of rotations on the kickers at the edge of the track.

Who is the Capita Kazu Kokubo Pro snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to experienced or expert snowboarders, looking for a powerful and stable snowboard, that performs as well on hard snow as in powder, and playful enough for freestyle. Ideal for a snowboarder who likes tricks as much as powder.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
