The Black Snowboard Of Death from Capita is a snowboard with directional shape and flex, offering lots of smoothness and efficiency on any terrain and any snow condition, while benefiting from innovative technologies to provide lightness, power, responsiveness and dampening.

What is the program of the Capita The Black Snowboard Of Death?

Thanks to its directional shape, flex and inserts, The Black Snowboard Of Death offers precise handling and works on any type of snow. Turns are easy to link, the board floats effortlessly, also thanks to the nose and tail rockers, and the classic camber offers the required grip on hard snow. Yet Capita does not leave it here and this high-end board benefits from the best of the brand’s knowledge. You find a Thermopolymer Hover Core hybrid core, with wood and carbon for lightness and robustness and with great dampening characteristics. Wait, there’s more. There is more carbon and linen fibres, strategically positioned for more power and vibration dampening. Finally, the flex is controlled thanks to a double layer of triaxial fiberglass and you get a powerful board which does not chatter, even at high speeds, while retaining comfort when cornering as it is not too stiff. What you need to shred all day long all over the ski area.

Who is the Capita The Black Snowboard Of Death for?

This model is meant for advanced snowboarders who ride on any type of snow, on and off-piste and who are looking to treat themselves to a high-end performance board.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
