The Nidecker Escape Plus is stiffer and offers more performance than the Escape. It is also more challenging, notably because of its full traditional camber profile. This is a freeride-oriented board with a directional shape, tapering towards the tail and a setback foot stance for optimal manoeuvrability.  

What is the programme of the Nidecker Escape Plus snowboard? 

The Escape Plus features a directional shape and 30 mm of setback. It lifts easily on powder and offers lots of control on every terrain. The full traditional camber profile guarantees excellent edge hold to carve aggressively on groomed snow, even more so as the stiff flex offers very good high-speed stability. The Light Core wood core is reinforced by triaxial fiberglass and carbon for even more responsiveness. You'll appreciate the rebound between carved turns and the pop for bigger ollies. A board to shred heavily on groomers and in the backcountry, ideal for snowboarders looking to go fast on every terrain.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
