The Nidecker Merc is an all-mountain freeride snowboard, with a directional twin shape that provides a natural ability for turning and makes it pleasant on every terrain. 

What is the programme of the Nidecker Merc snowboard? 

The Merc has a Master Core that combines various wood densities to offer a very good performance/weight ratio. This core is part of the Premium Sandwich construction that notably uses carbon for better durability and shock absorption. This is a dynamic board that is comfortable on every terrain. Its directional twin shape facilitates turn initiations and allows to ride any snow condition. It floats nicely on powder, even more so thanks to the rockers on both tips, which improve the ability to lift. On hardpack, the traditional camber section provides secure edge hold and high-speed stability to hone your carving skills. A board to ride every terrain, turn aggressively and even send a few tricks on your runs if you’re into freestyle!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
