Description

Handmade in an Austrian factory running on 100% renewable energy, Capita snowboards are among the best on the market. The Mercury uses Panda Core, an FSC certified wood shell equipped with bamboo inserts to provide lightness and power. It also benefits from linen and carbon reinforcements for extra responsiveness and cushioning. The result is a board that is really energetic and comfortable to ride.

What is the programme of the Capita Mercury snowboard?

Thanks to its top-of-the-range construction and its supercharged shell, the Mercury has the answer in all situations. Its camber profile which mixes classic camber and rockers works on all types of snow. On the piste, it allows you to increase speed and lengthen curves, but also to ride narrower and place small flat tricks by playing with the spatulas. The grip is good, the relaunch is noticeable and you remain stable at high speed, with good control of the trajectory thanks to a more marked rigidity on the back. Off-piste, the rockers give you the necessary lift needed to take advantage of the powder. Finally, the twin-tip shape and the performance/playability balance is ideal for those looking to get into the snowpark.

Who is the Capita Mercury snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to intermediate/confirmed snowboarders as well as very experienced snowboarders. The most inexperienced snowboarders will appreciate its stability and secure grip on the piste, while the more experienced will take advantage of its explosive temperament to rain tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
