Description

The Capita Outerspace Living offers a light shell of poplar and beech, reinforced with kevlar and fibreglass for a more dynamic and robust result. It is flexible into spatulas for easy pressing, but it responds when it comes to raising the tone. As always with Capita, it is manufactured in Europe using FSC wood and 60% bio-sourced glue.   

What is the Capita Outerspace Living snowboard programme?   

The Outerspace Living offers a well-balanced level of performance, allowing you to maintain riding comfort and playability, while providing support when you want to set the pace and increase speed. The camber + rocker profile works particularly well in snow, offering a secure grip and proper flotation. The twin-tip shape with a well centred foot position allows you to place tricks and switch riders without any problems. Finally, the flex medium allows you to be responsive in turns while keeping the board energy efficient. This way, you have everything needed to have fun all over the resort, whatever the conditions and your desires of the day are.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
