Description

The Capita The Navigator is the compas to allow you to navigate through an ocean of powder. This snowboard features a directional shape and construction to facilitate floatability and handling. Indeed, with the big volume nose with generous rocker, setback stance and tapered tail, you benefit from natural lift and great ease to initiate turns. To trace in powder without chattering, the nose has cork and carbon inserts. Dampening, precision and responsiveness are improved without making the board heavier. You also find classic camber in the middle of the board, providing grip on hard snow and efficiency on groomed runs. This way, the board excels in powder, yet works for all-mountain riding and to enjoy groomers. Technically accessible from the intermediate/advanced level, but do not overestimate your freeride abilities and do not forget your safety equipment when going off-piste.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
