Description

We are selling items with cosmetic defects. They are new and unused, guaranteed by the manufacturer, and have no construction faults. The graphics have been scratched during transit or storage. The skis have been drilled and repaired and repaired after a first mounting. We rank them according to their state : This ski has been ranked 3*, it has barely noticeable defects. The skis were refilled after an initial drilling.

Launched for Salomon’s 2017-2018 winter season, the QST series is back this year with its beautiful versatile all-mountain programme. With a 99 mm waist, the QST 99 is a midrange ski offering the perfect compromise between powder and hardsnow. A pair of skis light enough which could be run for occasional freetouring as well.

What can the Salomon QST 99 ski do?
In terms of behaviour, everything happens underfoot with the QST 99. With its twin tip and early rise rockers, it is very manoeuvrable and rotates easily. The Full Sandwich Sidewalls 360° construction offers a detonating material assembly, with ABS sidewall construction extending around the entire sidewall length for an excellent snow contact in all circumstances. With its brand new C/FX3 technology, the ski is reinforced with carbon, flax and titanium for maximum stability and power. It is playful like a modern freeski and will let you experience everything on and around the resort.

How to choose the length of your skis?

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?
On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options: 

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show. 

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products. 

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
