The Rossignol Soul 7 :
At first sight, it’s easy to think Rossignol here is releasing a heavy and goofy ski: 106mm at waist, a massive look with huge rockers...we have to admit, the beast looks pretty impressive. But what a mistake! The Soul 7 is actually a super light ski in its category thanks to the Paulownia wood used in the construction. It delivers the performance you can expect from wood: reactivity, flexibility and character.
And Rossignol didn’t stop here. The gave the ski 25% of rocker through the tip and tail and released the Air Tip technology, using a honeycomb structure in the tip. That reduces dramatically the amount of materials used and therefore improves lightweight without compromising performance.
That turns the ski into something incredibly floaty on powder, into a ski that pivots effortlessly and that doesn’t require extreme physical conditions. Ideal if you want to explore every square meter of powder on the mountain.
But this isn’t it and if you’re a piste ripper you’ll be happy too with the Soul 7 on your feet. Its traditional camber ensures a remarkable edge grip on groomed snow and the 17m turning radius ensures nice carved arcs.
In the end, if the Soul 7 has everything of a freeridder, it is also a good everyday ski, easy to manage, responsive, not too demanding and fun. It is also a good option if you want something allowing short tours and approaches.
As one says, never judge a book by its cover. This could be derived as never judge a ski by its sidecuts. Come and discover the Rossignol Soul 7, you’ll be surprised !
The Rossignol Experience 88 :
Gentlemen, Rossignol is proud to introduce the most versatile all-mountain ski in its Experience series: the Experience 88. Its Paulownia woodcore and minicap sandwich construction are providing lightweight and durability so you can face the mountain regardless of the conditions.
Like its Soul 7 and Super 7 cousins, the Experience 88 features the Air Tip technology. It’s a honycomb structure that builds the tip, making it very light and effortless. The dual rocker (20% through the tip, 10% through the tail) enhances this feel of agility by offering great floatability and excellent edge grip on hard snow.
Its 88mm waist confirms the ski’s intentions. It makes it agile, lively and responsive. The basalt reinforced wood and fibreglass construction provides power and stability which experts will appreciate. It handles any terrain with ease and delivers performance through the whole mountain.
