Rossignol Forza

The Rossignol Forza are piste skis built around carving. From the Forza 30° to the Forza 70° Ti+ Master R22, the difference is not based solely on sidecut: the construction becomes progressively stiffer, more direct and more demanding. The Forza 30° and 40° favour an accessible feel, the Forza 50° marks the move into performance piste skiing, while the Forza 60° and 70° increase power transfer and precision as speed and edge angle rise.

Forza 30°, 40°, 50°, 60° or 70°: understanding the progression

The figures 30°, 40°, 50°, 60° and 70° correspond to symbolic levels of edge engagement. The higher the number, the more the ski is designed to support a pronounced angle and an assertive riding style. Width remains contained between 74 and 77 mm, but the reinforcements, build and binding system evolve markedly from one model to the next.

Forza 30° and 40°: two entry points into carving

The Forza 30° Ca Xpress and Forza 40° Ca Xpress both belong to the recreational piste range. They combine a poplar core, traditional camber and a slight tip rocker. This architecture preserves the support and grip expected on piste while making turn initiation easier.

The Forza 30° Ca Xpress has the narrowest waist in the range at 74 mm. Its V-CA construction, completed with a Carbon Beam, makes it the logical entry point for learning to ski better on carved turns without immediately choosing a very stiff ski.

The Forza 40° Ca Xpress moves to a 75 mm waist and a 127 mm tip. It remains classed as a recreational piste ski, but it is aimed at a skier who wants to increase edge angle and gain more support through the turn. However, the 40° is not yet a titanal-reinforced model.

The Forza 50° bridges the gap to performance piste skiing

The Forza 50° Cam Konect keeps the 127-75-111 mm sidecut of the Forza 40°, but changes positioning. Glisshop classifies it as a performance piste ski and its V-CAM construction is designed to deliver greater dynamism and smoother flex continuity. The difference with the Forza 40° is therefore not about width, but mainly about the construction and the level of response sought.

The Forza 50° suits the intermediate to advanced skier who already knows how to ride skis on edge and wants more rebound, without reaching the rigidity of the titanal-reinforced Forza 60° and 70°.

We still offer the Forza 50° V-Cam Konect 2024-2025 (subject to stock). It belongs to an earlier generation and should not be confused with the current Forza 50° Cam, even though the naming and positioning are similar.

Forza 60° or 70°: the difference lies in commitment

The Forza 60° Ti Konect introduces a more reinforced construction with V-Titanal, Carbon Alloy Matrix and straight sidewalls. Its 130-75-112 mm sidecut remains relatively easy to set on edge, but its structure demands more input than the Forza 50°. It is aimed at the skier who prioritises grip on hard snow, precision and stability as the pace rises.

The Forza 70° V-Ti Konect adopts a wider 134 mm tip and a 77 mm waist. Its radius ranges from 13 to 15 metres depending on length. This shape retains a strong ability to finish turns despite lengths designed to bring stability. However, the ski becomes less forgiving: you need to be able to maintain pressure and edge angle to get the most out of its construction.

Forza 70° Konect or Forza 70° Ti+ Master R22

The two Forza 70° skis share the same 134-77-110 mm sidecut and are aimed at advanced to expert skiers. Their key difference lies in the plate and binding system.

  • Forza 70° V-Ti Konect : performance version fitted with a Konect system, better suited to regular sporty use at the resort.

  • Forza 70° Ti+ Master R22 : version fitted with an R22 plate, designed to improve power transfer, edge hold and energy through the turn.

The Forza 70° Ti+ Master R22 is not simply a higher-spec finish. Its more race-oriented plate alters the level of demand of the setup. It will mainly appeal to powerful skiers looking for a very direct feel. For less committed use or for longer days on the hill, the Forza 70° Konect will generally be less demanding.

Which Rossignol Forza should you choose for your skiing?

  • Forza 30° : to discover or refine carving with the most accessible construction in the range.

  • Forza 40° : to increase edge angles while staying on a ski classed as recreational piste.

  • Forza 50° : to move to a dynamic performance piste ski, but without a main titanal reinforcement.

  • Forza 60° : to gain rigidity, power transfer and grip as speed increases.

  • Forza 70° Konect : for a sporty, committed ride with an integrated system suited to resort use.

  • Forza 70° Ti+ Master R22 : to seek the most powerful construction and the response closest to a race ski.
