The Nova 8 Ca Xpress is a women’s performance piste ski. With its dynamic flex, it will help skilled female skiers to ski with vivacity and precision on groomed runs.

What is the program of the Nova 8 Ca Xpress ski?

If you want to fly at the speed of light in resorts, the Nova 8 Ca Xpress ski will please you. This model provides very good stability at high speed, with its 74 mm wide waist, classic camber and, above all the LCT technology: it consists of a central rail inside the ski, on the entire length. The advantage this technology has: it eliminates some of the ski’s counter flexion to send the energy back in weight transfers or during a powerful turn. The result is a responsive ski, allowing to send it on groomers. In addition, its wood core is made more dynamic by ultra-light carbon fibre inserts, they provide very appreciated reactiveness and nimbleness. The tail design enables to maintain your speed when exiting turns thanks to a powerful rebound. With the Nova 8, you will easily carve on resort runs, as the grip of this model is optimum even on hard pack, notably thanks to the rectangular sidewalls. Properly responsive, the Nova 8 remains very comfortable to ski and will allow skiers to remain precise, even on long days.

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.
