Description

We are offering for sale skis with cosmetic defects. They are brand new, guaranteed by the manufacturer, and have no construction or manufacturing faults. The screen printing has been scratched during transport or while being stored in our warehouse. A grading based on their condition has been established: These skis have been rated as 3***, meaning they present minor visible defects.

Faction has struck a good weight-to-power ratio with the Agent 1.0, which weighs only 1,330 grams per ski in size 170 cm, yet delivers impressive skiability on hardpack as well as on softer snow. As a consequence, you benefit from a ski that is light and easy to manoeuvre and climb with, but also punchy enough to push a bit in the descents.

What is the Faction Agent 1.0 DA*** ski made for?

The Agent 1.0 relies on a lightweight Karuba wood core, reinforced with carbon fibres along its entire length to increase torsional stiffness. The ski remains light but holds its edge better on hard snow and becomes more stable at higher speeds. Its pronounced front rocker facilitates turn initiation while improving float on soft snow and smoothing out terrain irregularities. The flat freeride tail enhances grip and performance on hard snow, with better rebound out of turns. Finally, the 86 mm waist width provides a compact profile for easy trail-breaking in the climbs, remains nimble edge-to-edge on groomers during the descent, and offers a bit of float in powder.

Who is the Faction Agent 1.0 DA*** ski aimed at?

We recommend this model to skiers from intermediate/advanced level an up, who have a good skills and want to invest in a high-performance and comfortable touring ski with which they can discover new horizons and pleasures in the mountains.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
