Description

The Kore freeride skis from Head are renowned for their playfulness and manoeuvrability. Among this range, the Kore 99 ski sits in the middle of the range in terms of versatility: with 99 mm at the waist, it is more manoeuvrable than its cousin the Kore 111 and more comfortable in powder than the Kore 87.

What is the program of the Head Kore 99 ski?

Freeride ski capable to float in powder, the Kore 99 features a modern and lightweight construction making it easy to handle and greatly playful. This is due to the materials chosen by Head: the core is made of karuba and poplar wood and the tips are reinforced by graphene; an ultra-lightweight material and stronger than diamond. This way, you get a ski with great skiability and a remarkable power/weight ratio. With its 99 mm at the waist and double rocker, it is a true freeride weapon that will allow you to seriously shred in powder while floating above the snow. Its multiturn radius sidecut allows to pilot it easily on the various terrain features of the backcountry. With straight sidewalls at the waist and camber under the feet, you will be able to link fast turns and remain always in control.

Who is the Head Kore 99 ski for?

Because of its wide waist, we recommend the Kore 99 to advanced or expert skiers who want to use their technical skills with a powerful and responsive ski. If you are the type of person to carefully study the weather reports before setting off early in the morning to trace lines in virgin powder, you will have what you need to have fun with the Kore 99. It is worth mentioning that thanks to its lightweight structure, it can also be used for ski touring, to explore new horizons.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
