Description

Faction worked hard on the touring lineup and the skis return for 2017 with innovative features and great performance. These hounds are more than ready to take you to the unknown part of the mountain and leave their tracks like wild beasts do! The Agent 100 is equipped with an ultra-light paulownia woodcore keeping the ski nimble and effortless but features pretty big sidecuts and a stiffer carbon reinforced construction for optimal all-terrain behaviour.

What can the Faction Agent 100 ski do?

If you have practiced ski touring at least once in your life, you know that having lightweight equipment is key. If you want to reach the top of the mountain quickly and still have your legs that can operate the descent, better pick the right skis. And the Faction Agent 100 could very well be the right ski. Its 102mm underfoot platform offers support on soft snow which, combined to the light construction, makes the ski pretty easy to bring uphill. But it’s when the path points downhill that the ski reveals its true talent. It turns into a pure freerider and surfes powder or busts through crud with a ridiculous ease. The carbon stringers keep the ski lively and responsive when the snow gets harder and the flat tail enhances precision and allows for more aggressive riding. If you like to link short and long turns and pass through various obstacles at high speed, the Agent 100 will make you happy. The ski/snow contact feel and the incredible buoyancy make the ski extremely enjoyable. And in case you have to ride on groomed snow for returning to the chalet, you can. The ski is lively and grippy enough to carve an arc with style.

Who is the Faction Agent 100 ski designed for?

If your favorite part of the tour is the downhill, if you are looking for a wide ski that delivers mindblowing performance on powder and features a pretty light construction offering power and reactivity on all terrains, then the Agent 10 is a good match. But it requires strong legs and advanced technique.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
