Description

We are selling items with cosmetic defects. They are new and unused, guaranteed by the manufacturer, and have no construction faults. The graphics have been scratched during transit or storage.
We rank them according to their state:
This ski has been ranked 3*, it has barely noticeable defects.

The Faction Candide 2.0 went through a slight upgrade this summer to return with more horsepower under the belt. This freestyle backcountry weapon delivers tons of versatility and appears to be the perfect compromise between a park ski and a freeride ski. Watch Adam Delorme and Daniel Hanka ride with it, you will know what we mean. Construction-wise, the Candide 2.0 comes with a twin tip shape and a 102mm platform. It’s super poppy thanks to its light woodcore and remains as powerful as it used to be with its carbon reinforcements. The tip and tail rockers maximise the agility of the ski on deep powder and make it more playful.

What can the Faction Candide 2.0 ski do?

If Faction ranks the ski in the all-mountain category, we can tell you the Candide 2.0 has an obvious bias towards freestyle and could easily be sold as a FS backcountry ski. Its 102mm waist and the two rockers per ski ensure the perfect floatation no matter how deep the powder. It is the ideal partner for sending tricks off natural booters or homemade kickers. Landings are smooth as silk thanks to the carbon featured and it also helps to keep reactivity at its best. If you like dancing through the trees and slaloming between various obstacles, the ski will make you happy. And if you want more, take it on a few park laps and learn new tricks with the beast until you reach Candide’s level...

Who is the Faction Candide 2.0 designed for?

We recommend it to advanced riders who want a one-ski-quiver for shredding the park and the backcountry with the same ski. Just keep in mind that it is powerful and it requires strong legs to be managed.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
