The Faction Studio Grom ski is a twin-tip freeride model designed for young riders who are already pushing their limits. This ski inherits the DNA of the adult Studio range, making it ideal for charging through backcountry terrain and playing in the side country. It excels in powder, chopped-up snow, and committed lines in the park.

What is the Faction Studio Grom ski made for?

The Faction Studio Grom is a twin-tip freeride ski built to be ridden both regular and switch, whether you're floating through fresh powder or carving on groomers. Its poplar/ash core, framed with fibreglass, delivers an excellent balance of pop, dampening and stability, perfect for absorbing landings while maintaining rebound out of turns. The generous tip rocker combined with moderate traditional camber and Elliptical Radius Sidecut allows quick pivoting, clean carving and varied turn radius depending on terrain. The waist width paired with this rocker helps the ski float naturally in soft snow and remain smooth in cruddy conditions, all while retaining sharp edge hold on hardpack. Full Strength Sidewall construction and robust 2.2 mm edges enhance grip and durability so you can rack up laps off-piste, in the terrain park or exploring side country features.

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
