Description

From the Elan freeride range, the Ripstick 106 offers you a lot of fun in the powder. Its 106 mm waist width makes it effective in powder snow with a nice grip when you return on hard snow. A model that also benefits from the best technologies of the brand for 100% fun sessions.

What is the program of the Elan Ripstick 106 freeride ski?

With its asymmetrical Amphibio profile, the Ripstick 106 offers you a new sliding experience! Thanks to a rocker more marked on the outside than the inside, we find ourselves with a left ski and a right ski. This allows smoother turn sequences and better relaunch at the exit of the curve. Especially since this little gem has a carbon plate under the spatula for great stability at high speed.

It is physically accessible thanks to its lightweight construction which makes it very easy to handle even in powder snow. With the addition of the super-efficient Vapor Tip inserts to absorb impurities from the terrain. In short, a fun ski in powder snow that keeps an effective grip on harder snow.

Who is the Elan Ripstick 106 ski for?

It is ideal for an experienced skier who is looking for a freeride ski that is easy to take and very manoeuvrable in powder. For those who are looking for a high-performance model that is comfortable to drive without being too physically demanding.

What are the main qualities of the Elan Ripstick 106 ski?

Great lift

Nice grip on hard snow

Good hold on the road

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
