Product description — Trion 28 White Black
The Mammut Trion 28 backpack stands out for its zippered side access to the main compartment: an opening on the side of the pack that lets you retrieve gear without having to reach in from the top. The roll-top closure complements the top access. The backpack is designed for ski touring: reinforced side ski loops, ice axe loops, a rope attachment on the flap, a separate compartment for a shovel and probe, and mesh pockets on the shoulder straps. The back length is fixed at 46 cm.
What activities is the Mammut Trion 28 backpack suitable for?
Designed for day-long ski touring with a 28-liter capacity, for enthusiasts who appreciate the combination of side access to the main compartment and the roll-top closure. The reinforced ski loops and rope attachment are suited for technical mountain use.
Is the zippered side access practical for ski touring?
Yes, it’s one of the Trion’s key features: you can grab a layer or a snack from the side of the pack without setting it down or opening the roll-top. The mesh pockets on the shoulder straps also allow you to access a flask without taking off the pack.
Is the Trion 28 hydration-compatible?
<
p>Yes, it’s compatible with soft-side hydration systems (not included). The contoured hip belt with a small zippered pocket and the elastic chest strap complete the carrying system, which weighs 1,000 g when empty.
