Designed to complement a traditional rack for the most complex sections, the Black Diamond Offset Stopper Set #7-11 addresses protection challenges in non-parallel cracks. Its specific asymmetric geometry allows for precise placement in flared piton scars or granite seams where standard pros struggle to achieve a secure fit. By using the different faces of each piece, climbers have multiple wedging options to tackle irregularities in the rock, whether on technical free climbs or aid routes. Use on multi-pitch routes is made easier thanks to a colour-coding system identical to that of classic Stoppers, enabling instinctive gear selection under pressure. The design combines durable aluminium heads with galvanised steel cables, offering an optimal balance between malleability, so the pro conforms to the rock’s texture, and mechanical tensile strength. This five-piece set (sizes 7 to 11) significantly increases security in flared cracks, where the versatility of the offset shape becomes a critical asset.
