What is the Borealis Artefact DA*** snowboard made for?

The Artefact allows for riding switch and has enough tail length for performing tricks. Its setback inserts enhance control and manoeuvrability, while the tips promote excellent float in fresh snow. Its rockers effectively absorb irregularities in the backcountry. On groomers or hard snow off-piste, the turn radius and traditional camber contribute to the grip. The construction of this board provides rebound in turns and stability, while remaining physically accessible and flexible enough for flat tricks and having fun the terrain park. In terms of freestyle, the pop is particularly noteworthy thanks to the carbon reinforcements in the tips.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
