Description
Just out of the Fischer design office and already on all the podiums of the Nordic and Biathlon World Championships, the Speedmax 3D offers new concepts with the focus on performance and gliding. A new fighter plane for the Austrian brand which is constantly looking for technologies to make the difference.
What are the characteristics of the Fischer Speedmax 3D Skate Plus Stiff?
Rightly considered as the best performing ski on the planet, the Speedmax has undergone a change with the appearance of the 3D concept. This new ski assembly process now offers the opportunity to wax 3 sides of the ski and no longer just one. If the sole remains the most important place to maintain and prepare for races, the edges are on this model suitable for liquid waxing. Made of the same material as the sole, it is possible to apply all kinds of liquid waxes, only be careful with liquid waxes because this part is made of an extremely thin sole. Other ski technologies are unchanged, the sole still benefits from the Cold Base bonding process. This concept allows the sole to be less impacted at the molecular level during assembly and offers a greater tolerance to changes in snow conditions as well as a more efficient direct track glide. The Stiff camber is designed for compact snow or powerful sizes that need more liveliness on the ski's clearance in lateral thrust. The Plus sole, considered to be the most versatile in the Fischer range, is adapted to snow above -5°C. The internal construction retains its honeycomb core on which the carbon cover rests, giving the ski a very lively character on relaunch. The IFP plate system with which it is equipped is suitable for Turnamic bindings, this standard is compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic boot standards. Lively underfoot, aggressive in skating and excellent in direct tracking, the latest Speedmax has already made a name for itself with a clever mix of innovation and the preservation of Fischer manufacturing principles that have already proven themselves at the highest level.
Watch out! Fischer skis are delivered pre-waxed to protect the soles during transport. It is therefore normal that you find soles with paraffin and the ski must be scraped at home before the first use.
Who is the Fischer Speedmax 3D Skate Plus Stiff cross-country ski intended for?
It is obviously intended for regular skiers, long-distance competitors or experienced cross-country skiers looking for a versatile ski for all snow conditions. The Stiff camber is ideal for compact transformed snow and remains very affordable. It is one of the most versatile skis on the top of the range.
