Description
For several seasons Madshus has been offering classic skis with particularly high performance and forgiving skins. This is still the case with the Race Pro Intelligrip, which has the best in technology combined with mixed skins that give it a remarkable ease of grip.
What are the characteristics of the Madshus Race Pro Intelligrip cross-country ski?
First of all it is important to highlight the quality of the structure of the ski, identical to that of the Redline 2.0 range. We find the PR100 X core immersed in the Triaxial Carbon sock, a carbon braid that surrounds the entire camber area. The effect on snow is immediate, we feel very quickly that the ski is dynamic at the end of propulsion and very rigid laterally on track changes and not turning. To not spoil anything he has the P200 Nano Universal sole that has equipped the Redline models so far, the glide is fantastic and with the bonus of versatility with a universal structure. The Intelligrip skin system has already proven its worth and it is good to find on this model a short 70% mohair and 30% nylon combination skin, more tolerant and durable than the 100% mohair skin, which is certainly less efficient, but it makes the ski very accessible. Madshus presents it as a racing ski with the tolerance of a touring ski, and it couldn't be summed up better. All the more so as the Rottefella mounting plate is made to adapt the Move Switch system to it as a complement for those who wish to do so. This wheel, which allows to change the position of the binding on the ski, acts as a grip/slip regulator and gives the ski a new dimension. Depending on the type of exit, profile or shape of the moment, it is possible to adapt the grip without having to do anything else than bend down and turn the Move Switch, for more grip it is advanced and vice versa for more glide. This plate is suitable for Rottefella bindings, compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic shoe standards. All this to say that the Race Pro Skate is one of the most accessible high-end skis on the market with a perfect balance between performance and tolerance.
Who is the Madshus Race Pro Intelligrip cross-country ski for?
It offers a tolerance that few skis in this category possess, but nevertheless remains a high-performance ski, and is therefore suitable for sporty and regular skiers looking for incomparable grip comfort. It shows a fantastic dynamism and never lets go on the side grips. It is a perfect model for skiers who already have experience of classic skiing and who wish to give their practice a playful side without losing in technical efficiency.
