Carabiners Rocklock Magnetron Carabiner

The Black Diamond Rocklock Magnetron Carabiner is an HMS carabiner designed for belaying, anchor building and abseiling. Its Magnetron technology combines two magnetic arms in the gate with a steel insert in the nose, providing an easy-to-use dual automatic locking system. The Keylock nose helps prevent accidental snagging on slings or ropes. Its construction incorporates 25% recycled aluminium.

Can the Rocklock Magnetron be operated with one hand?

Yes. The locking mechanism is designed for one-handed operation with either the left or right hand.

Is it suitable for belaying with an Italian hitch?

Yes. Its HMS shape is designed for dynamic belaying with an Italian hitch or a belay device.

What are its strength ratings?

It is rated to 24 kN on the major axis, 8 kN on the minor axis and 8 kN with the gate opened.
