Norwegian brand Sweet Protection, very well-known for its helmets and protective gear, also knows how to produce high-quality apparel. As a good example, this Crusader X features the best membrane on the market with Gore-Tex! The level of protection is optimal, the 28,000mm waterproofness is matched by high-performance breathability (RET <9), which gives this freeride mountain jacket a more adventurous character and clearly qualifies it for ski touring. With large ventilation zips under the arms to increase air flow when climbing, it has all the characteristics of a very beautiful jacket for active and versatile use. The front zip has two sliders to open the jacket from the top or bottom according to the constraints. Regarding pockets, we find two side pockets with zip, a zippered Napoleon pocket, a lift pass pocket and an inner pocket with zip. The hood is easily adjustable with a drawcord at the back. The adjustable Velcro cuffs have thumb loops to offer good protection. Its 3-layer Gore-Tex construction makes it a very effective protective layer, but keep in mind that it is not insulated, it is necessary to play with the underlayers according to the climatic conditions (base layer, micro-fleece).
