Description

The Ohm II quickdraw from Edelrid is a belay assistance device, specifically designed for climbing teams with significant weight differences between the climber and the belayer. Its profile and swivel prevent incorrect installation, ensuring that the quickdraw always remains aligned and does not twist on itself. The addition of the rope locking system prevents accidental opening, making it easier to insert the rope and remove it during descent. The weight has been reduced, thereby increasing user comfort. One of the most remarkable features of this Ohm II quickdraw is its ability to enhance braking effect during belaying, virtually adding 25 kg to the belayer’s weight. When installed in place of the first quickdraw, the Edelrid Ohm II reduces the risk of incidents in case of a fall right from the initial moves on the route. Its design allows for smoother slack feeding when lead belaying and makes it compatible with single ropes from 8.9 to 11.0 mm in diameter. The minimum required weight for the belayer is 40 kg (approximately 6.30 st). Please note that here, the OHM II is sold on its own, without a carabiner. This allows you to choose your preferred carabiner rather than being limited to one provided by Edelrid.
